OPTION 1: BEGINNER / CONFIDENCE SESSIONS
If the sea feels overwhelming or unpredictable, this is where you start.
These sessions are designed to help you feel safe, calm, and comfortable in open water one step at a time.
This is for you if:
You feel nervous or anxious in the sea
You avoid swimming out of your depth
You panic when you put your face in the water
You want to feel more in control
What you’ll work on:
Getting comfortable in the water
Breathing and staying calm
Floating and basic movement
Short controlled swims
Understanding sea conditions safely
When:
Monday or Wednesday 6pm, starting week of 22nd June 2026
Where:
Depending on high tide, most will be held at Sandycove or Killiney
Bring with you:
Brightly coloured swim hat (orange, green, yellow, pink)
Goggles (open water if you have them)
Swimming togs
Wetsuit
Swimming tow float
Beach footwear
Towel/Poncho
Warm clothes to change into

OPTION 2: IMPROVER / COACHING SESSIONS
For swimmers who are already comfortable in the sea and want to improve technique and distance.
This is for you if:
You can swim in open water but want to improve
You want better breathing and efficiency
You’re preparing for races or distance goals
You want structured coaching (not just swimming)
What you’ll work on:
Stroke efficiency and technique
Sighting and navigation
Building distance and endurance
Sighting
When:
Monday or Wednesday 7pm, starting week of 22nd June 2026
Where:
Depending on high tide, most will be held at Sandycove or Killiney
